Digi ASN, MCC/MNC and IP prefixes

Digi is the mobile brand of Belize Telemedia Limited in Belize, whose majority shareholder is the Government of Belize. AS10269, registered to Belize Telemedia Limited, is the confirmed mobile ASN and the only ASN the registry records for the company. Digi is listed under one MCC/MNC pair, 702-67.

The registry records a single ASN for Digi, AS10269, held by Belize Telemedia Limited and marked as the one carrying the mobile network. At the last probe it announced 34 IPv4 prefixes against 15 IPv6 prefixes. PeeringDB lists the same number under the name Belize Telemedia with an info type of Cable/DSL/ISP. No separate mobile-only ASN is recorded, so fixed and mobile traffic share the one autonomous system.

For anyone classifying traffic, an address whose origin ASN is AS10269 is routed by Belize Telemedia Limited. Because that ASN carries the company's fixed services as well as its mobile network, the origin ASN alone does not tell you whether an address sits behind a DigiCell handset or a fixed broadband line. The registry marking the role as mobile confirms that the mobile network runs on this ASN, not that every address inside it is mobile.

Research note. Mobile brand is DigiCell under the Digi umbrella of Belize Telemedia Limited (BTL). AS10269 is BTL's single ASN (PeeringDB info_type Cable/DSL/ISP, website livedigi.com, aka BTL) and carries both fixed and mobile traffic; no separate mobile-only ASN found. No candidate ASNs were supplied in asn.txt; AS10269 was found via RIPEstat/PeeringDB. Site advertises '4G LTE Advanced'; no 5G (operatorwatch 2023: no 5G network in Belize). MNC 702-67 per Wikipedia MNC table (LTE 700/1900).
