How we checked

On 27 September 2026 we fetched each app’s own website with a standard browser user agent and read the page text. Each cell cites the page it came from. Where a site did not state a value, or the page could not be read (the EarnApp and Honeygain help centres returned HTTP 403 to our requests), the cell says Not published rather than an estimate.

We did not install the apps, create accounts, request payouts or measure earnings. Third-party reviews, user testimonials and earnings calculators on the sites were not used. The PROXIES.SX column comes from our published supplier contract. Terms change; check each site before you sign up.

Questions

What are the best bandwidth sharing apps?
There is no single best app: it depends on your devices, how you want to be paid and whether your connection is residential. Of the eight apps we checked on 27 September 2026, only PacketStream ($0.10 per GB before cashout fees) and Honeygain (1 credit per 10 MB) published a rate. Minimum payouts that were published range from $5 (Pawns.app, PacketStream) to $20 (Honeygain). MystNodes publishes its node software under GPL-3.0. Use the table to match an app to your devices and payout method.
What are some apps like Honeygain?
Apps that pay for sharing an internet connection include EarnApp, Pawns.app, PacketStream, Repocket, Traffmonetizer, Grass and MystNodes. PROXIES.SX also accepts residential and mobile supply under a signed partner agreement. They differ in platforms, how pay is set, payout rails and minimums, compared cell by cell above.
How much does Honeygain pay per GB?
Honeygain’s own site says: “You earn 1 credit per 10MB shared - 10GB earns $1.” Its payouts page says 10,000 credits are worth $10 and the minimum payout is $20 (20,000 credits), and another page says rates are higher where demand for bandwidth is greater.
Which apps publish a per-GB rate?
On the pages we could read, PacketStream ($0.10 for every GB of customer traffic, before cashout fees) and Honeygain (1 credit per 10 MB). Repocket and MystNodes say earnings are measured per gigabyte but do not publish an amount. PROXIES.SX sets rates per partner and returns the live earningsPerGB value when you register a device.
Can I run these apps on a VPS?
Honeygain says datacenter IPs and most VPNs are not allowed; EarnApp says VPS and virtual machine software are not allowed; Pawns.app and Traffmonetizer require a residential IP. Repocket’s terms list servers and virtual machines as devices, and MystNodes’ Linux guide says a small VPS can run a node. PROXIES.SX rejects datacenter IPs for customer listing.
Does registering guarantee earnings?
Not with PROXIES.SX: registration does not guarantee traffic or earnings, which depend on eligible traffic your devices actually serve and on your partner terms. Check each other app’s own terms for its position.
