WholySEO Review 2026
Chinese SEO & backlink agency for cross-border exporters · Shenzhen · Dongguan · Hong Kong
WholySEO (狐力SEO) is a Chinese SEO agency headquartered in Shenzhen's Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cooperation Zone, with a branch in Dongguan and an office in Hong Kong - all inside the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Its client base is domestic Chinese companies expanding overseas, the segment locally called 出海 (chuhai): export manufacturers, cross-border e-commerce sellers and B2B brands who need Google visibility in markets they don't operate in day to day. That matters for one plain reason: the site has no English version. We checked wholyseo.com/en/ ourselves and it 404s, so account managers, reporting and content production all run in Chinese even when the campaign target is an English-speaking market. Six service lines sit under one roof - full-service Google SEO management, GEO/AI search optimization, hands-on SEO coaching for in-house teams, SEO-first website builds for exporters, white-hat backlink building, and offline training workshops in Shenzhen and Dongguan. The company points to a 85% client renewal rate and 10 years of SEO experience on its homepage - both vendor figures we could not verify independently.
By the numbers (vendor-stated)
Every figure below comes from WholySEO's own homepage and about page. None of it was independently verified - treat it as the agency's self-reported track record, not confirmed fact.
One inconsistency worth flagging: the homepage cites "10 years" of SEO experience for the agency, while the about page separately says the core team had "six years" in digital marketing before founding the company. These are two different numbers describing two different things - founding-team background versus agency track record - and the site does not reconcile them.
Six service lines
Google SEO full-service management
On-page, content and off-page work bundled as ongoing managed SEO (谷歌SEO全案优化/代运营).
GEO / AI search optimization
Positioning a brand to be cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini-style AI answer engines, not just classic Google results.
SEO coaching (陪跑)
Hands-on training for a client's in-house team rather than full outsourcing - closer to embedded consulting than an agency retainer.
SEO-first website building
Sites built for exporters with SEO structure baked in from the first sitemap, rather than optimized after launch.
White-hat backlink building
The service most relevant to this category - guest posts and editorial placements sourced from a claimed 100,000+ site pool.
Offline SEO training workshops
In-person sessions held in Shenzhen and Dongguan for teams that want to learn the discipline directly.
Backlink service, in detail
Since this is the category page for link building, here is what WholySEO states specifically about that service line.
Needs and site diagnosis
Initial audit of the client site and target keywords before any placement work begins.
Site vetting or client list
Manual matching against their donor pool, or they will work from a site list the client already supplies.
Content and placement
Content is written and coordinated with the donor site's editor for a natural, in-context link.
Delivery report and tracking
A delivery report plus ongoing status tracking of whether the placed links stay live.
Guest posts on real, editorially-run sites with genuine traffic are described as the flagship link type. Content is stated as 100% human-written and edited, not AI-generated. The agency says it will not use link farms, PBNs, or sites that openly sell links, and frames itself as following Google's link spam policies. Each client is said to get a dedicated account manager, with the option to request direct contact with the link-building team lead.
Stated philosophy: white-hat, gray-hat, black-hat
On its own educational content, WholySEO draws a three-way distinction it says guides its work: white-hat links earned through real content value carry the lowest risk, gray-hat tactics like mass guest posting or excessive link exchanges sit at medium risk, and black-hat methods - PBNs, link networks, spam generation - carry the highest risk. The agency positions itself strictly in the first category and says its founding team explicitly rejects PBNs, link farms, deceptive redirects and keyword stuffing, citing Google's official Search Essentials guidelines as its baseline. This is the vendor's own framing, not a third-party audit of its output.
Founding team
The about page names one co-founder, Melo, described as having worked both agency-side and client-side in SEO before starting the company. The core team is said to have had six years in digital marketing prior to founding WholySEO - a separate figure from the "10 years" of agency experience quoted on the homepage, as noted above.
Client testimonials (anonymized)
Dongguan footwear / shoe design company
An OEM/ODM manufacturer whose testimonial, per the about page, describes better-targeted keyword and content work leading to improved inbound inquiry quality.
Shenzhen LED display manufacturer
A second testimonial along the same lines - keyword and content targeting credited with better inbound lead quality.
Both quotes are attributed by industry only, not by company name, and the about page states its own caveat: results are anonymized for client confidentiality and vary by industry, site baseline and execution timeline. We are carrying that disclaimer forward rather than presenting the testimonials as independently confirmed outcomes.

Service regions and industry presence
Overseas target markets
The homepage lists Hong Kong, Singapore, North America, New Zealand and Australia as target markets; the about page separately lists Singapore, Australia, USA and New Zealand. The two lists are not identical - a minor inconsistency, but worth knowing before you assume a specific market is covered.
Industry engagement
The agency cites participation in an SEO conference in Chiang Mai, Thailand as one example of industry engagement outside mainland China.
Caveats worth knowing before you contact them
No English-language site. wholyseo.com/en/ 404s. Work with WholySEO and you are working in Chinese, by default, for everything from the initial call to monthly reports.
No published pricing. Every service page ends in a free-consultation or WeChat QR code prompt rather than a price list, tier, or per-link rate. You cannot comparison-shop cost without talking to sales first.
An "official partnership endorsement" is mentioned on the homepage with no named partner attached - too vague to treat as a real credential.
The about page links out to a Crunchbase organization page and a GoodFirms company page. Both were blocked by Cloudflare bot protection when we tried to load them directly, so we could not independently check what either profile actually contains.
Vendor stats (renewal rate, years of experience, growth percentages, keyword counts, client counts, backlink inventory size) are all self-reported and none were independently verified.
WholySEO + PROXIES.SX = ranking checks in the actual target market
A Shenzhen-based team running SEO for an English, Southeast Asian or Oceania audience is optimizing for a market it doesn't sit inside day to day. Confirming that Google actually shows the right ranking, in the right language, from the right country is easiest done with IP geography that matches the buyer, not the agency. PROXIES.SX 4G/5G mobile IPs across 100+ countries let a team pull SERPs from US, UK, Australian, New Zealand or Singaporean IPs directly, so you can check WholySEO's work the way a real searcher in that market would see it, rather than trusting a screenshot from a mainland China connection.
WholySEO
Production layer - on-page, content and white-hat backlink work for outbound Chinese brands.
PROXIES.SX
Verification layer - 4G/5G mobile IPs across 100+ countries for SERP checks in the actual target market.
Verdict
WholySEO fits a specific buyer well: a Chinese exporter or cross-border seller that wants a Chinese-speaking SEO team handling Google visibility abroad, without building that function in-house. Three physical offices across the Greater Bay Area, a stated white-hat-only policy, and a backlink service with concrete process steps and a 6-month replacement guarantee all read as a real operation rather than a shell. Two things hold this back from an unreserved recommendation. First, there is no English version of the site at all - fine for a buyer who is themselves Chinese-speaking or has someone on staff who is, a real obstacle for anyone who isn't. Second, nothing is priced publicly, so budgeting means a sales conversation before you know if this fits your range. If you are an outbound Chinese business and comfortable working in Chinese, WholySEO is worth that conversation. If you need an English-first vendor relationship, look elsewhere in this category.

We confirmed directly that wholyseo.com/en/ returns a 404. Where the public site states a figure - renewal rate, years of experience, growth percentages, client and keyword counts, backlink inventory size, guarantee terms - we attribute it to WholySEO as a vendor claim, not an independently verified fact. Crunchbase and GoodFirms profiles are linked from WholySEO's own about page but were blocked by bot protection when we tried to view them directly, so we do not describe their contents.
