SMS Red Review 2026
Phone numbers for receiving verification SMS, as one-time activations or longer rentals
SMS Red supplies phone numbers for receiving verification SMS. A one-time activation covers a single code; a longer-term rental keeps the number for an account that will ask again. Supported services, countries and prices are listed on the site, and received messages are read in the SMS Red dashboard.
Prices are per activation or per rental and depend on the service and country; SMS Red publishes the current figures on its site.
What the service offers
Four parts of the service, as SMS Red describes them.
One-time activations
Pick a service and a country, receive one verification code on a number issued for that activation, and release it. This is the path for a single sign-up or a login confirmation.
Longer-term rentals
A number can also be rented for a longer period, so an account that will ask for a code again later keeps the same number instead of a fresh one each time.
Services, countries and prices listed
Supported services, the countries available for each and the current price are published on the site, so you can check whether a target and a country are covered before you pay.
Messages in the dashboard
Received SMS appear in the SMS Red dashboard against the number that received them, where you read the code and copy it into the sign-up form.
Sign-ups on PROXIES.SX exits
Run the whole sign-up from one sticky session so the page that requests the code and the page that enters it leave from the same IP, and pick the country in the username. The session id must not contain a hyphen. Check the service's number requirements and the proxy country separately: when the service is strict, match the IP country to the number country.
Host gw.proxies.sx Port 7000 (HTTP) or 7001 (SOCKS5) Username psx_ACCOUNT_ID-peer-us-rot-sticky-sid-SIGNUP01 Password PROXY_PASSWORD
Use mbl-us instead of peer-us when the sign-up should come from a carrier modem. The exit is chosen by the PROXIES.SX username; the code itself arrives in the SMS Red dashboard.
PROXIES.SX sells residential and mobile proxies per GB through gw.proxies.sx (HTTP on port 7000, SOCKS5 on 7001), from $4/GB down to $2.40/GB from 250 GB. For an account that must keep one IP for weeks, Private modems rent a whole 4G/5G modem by the day, week or month.
Frequently asked questions
What is SMS Red?
SMS Red provides phone numbers for receiving verification SMS. You can buy a one-time activation for a single code or rent a number for a longer period, check the supported services, countries and prices on the site, and read received messages in the SMS Red dashboard.
How much does SMS Red cost?
Prices are per activation or per rental and depend on the service and the country. SMS Red lists the current figures on its site, and we do not reproduce them here because they change.
Which country should the proxy match?
Check the service's number requirements and your proxy's country separately. Many services accept a number from one country and a visitor from another, but a sign-up looks most consistent when the IP country matches the number country, so pick that country in the PROXIES.SX username when the service is strict.
How does SMS Red fit with PROXIES.SX?
Run the sign-up from a PROXIES.SX residential or mobile exit in the country you chose for the number, with one sticky session for the whole flow so the request for the code and the entry of the code come from the same IP. Then read the code in the SMS Red dashboard.
