Grass Alternative: Compare Rewards and Payouts

Every figure below is taken from Grass's own website (grass.io), its download page, its Network Use Policy and its Grass Points documentation (grass-foundation.gitbook.io), checked on 27 September 2026. Where Grass does not state something on a page we could read, we say it is not published.

Grass is operated by Grass OpCo Ltd. It does not pay a stated amount per GB. Instead it tracks contributions as Grass Points, which come in two forms. Uptime Points are earned for the time your device stays connected and available, and through referrals and milestone bonuses. Network Points are earned when your connection is actually used to handle web data requests. Its homepage says these points, along with how your bandwidth is used and your location, help determine the Grass Tokens or USDC you may receive in future distributions.

Its documentation says a fixed pool of 1,000,000 Network Points is distributed each day according to each user's share of the bandwidth used. Your share depends on demand in your region, the stability of your connection, and how your connection has been used in prior days; the network may prioritise other connections if yours was used recently. Grass does not publish a dollar value per point, a per-GB rate or a minimum payout.

Referrals add 20% of a directly referred user's Uptime Points, 10% at the second level and 5% at the third, indefinitely. New referrals receive 5,000 Uptime Points after 100 hours of uptime and the referrer receives 2,500. Tier ranks are calculated from Uptime Points only.

Grass lists desktop apps for Windows, macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Linux, and an Android app on its download page, and mentions a Chrome extension on its homepage. It says the app asks for consent to share bandwidth during installation and that sharing can be paused at any time. Residents of jurisdictions subject to sanctions or significant regulatory risk may not be eligible to receive Grass Tokens. Its Network Use Policy says the network is available only to legitimate business organisations that pass its onboarding checks. A VPS or datacenter policy, identity checks for suppliers and an open-source client are not published.

PROXIES.SX pays in crypto assets you choose, not in points or its own token. It does not publish a per-GB payout rate: rates are set per partner and may be fixed or a share of collected revenue, with no universal public percentage. The live rate is the earningsPerGB value returned when you register a device.

IP type is classified on the server by ASN, not by what the device reports. Mobile carrier IPs are the highest tier, residential the middle, and datacenter IPs are rejected for customer listing.

Registration does not guarantee traffic or earnings. Earnings depend on eligible traffic your devices actually serve and on your active partner terms.

Grass may suit you if you want a Chrome extension or a macOS app, and rewards through Grass Token or USDC distributions based on points.
