How to Use PROXIES.SX with Clousd: Cloud Phone Proxy Setup
Clousd runs Android cloud phones you control from the browser or its API. PROXIES.SX gives each phone a mobile or residential exit. This guide was written with the Clousd team and covers the whole path: what to paste into Clousd, sticky sessions and new IPs on the Pool Gateway, Private modems with their own IP-change link, and setting up many phones at once.
Before you start
- ·A Clousd account. The first 30 minutes on a phone are free.
- ·A PROXIES.SX account with GB on the balance and a proxy password set under Account. The proxy password is separate from your account password.
- ·The country each phone should appear in. The phone's time zone and language will follow it.
What to paste into Clousd
Pool Gateway
One login for mobile and residential exits, billed per GB. Country, session and rotation go in the username. Leave Rotation link empty.
gw.proxies.sx:7001:psx_<accountId>-mbl-us-sid-phone01-rot-sticky:<proxyPassword>socks5://psx_<accountId>-peer-de-rot-auto10:<proxyPassword>@gw.proxies.sx:7001Private modem
A whole 4G/5G modem rented to you alone per day, week or month, with unlimited traffic. Paste its host, port and login, and paste its IP-change URL into Rotation link.
See Private modems →Port rules
On the Pool Gateway, 7000 is HTTP-only and 7001 is SOCKS5-only. The login is the same on both. In the username, mbl picks mobile modems and peer picks the residential peer network, followed by a two-letter country code.
Step by step
Start a Clousd phone
Create an account at clousd.com/signup and start a phone. The first 30 minutes are free, which is enough to run through this whole guide.
Open Proxy settings
Open the phone and press Proxy settings. This opens the Network page, where every proxy for your account is added, checked and assigned.
Add your PROXIES.SX endpoint
Press Add proxy and paste your endpoint in any of these forms: host:port:user:pass, user:pass@host:port, or a full socks5:// or http:// URL. On the Pool Gateway the same login works for HTTP on gw.proxies.sx:7000 and for SOCKS5 on gw.proxies.sx:7001. Leave Rotation link empty: on the pool the IP is controlled by the username. Set a rotation interval to change it automatically, or add a session id to keep the same device. Rotation link is only for Private modems, where each modem has its own IP-change URL.
Press Check
Clousd works out the protocol (SOCKS5 or HTTP) by itself and shows the exit IP, country and ISP. Confirm the country is the one you put in the username before you go further.
Use it on your phones
Press Use on devices and tick the phones that should go through this proxy. All of the phone’s traffic goes through it, apps included. If the proxy stops answering, the phone goes offline instead of using the server’s own address.
Let the phone follow the exit country
The phone’s time zone and language follow the country of the exit, so a US exit gives you a phone that looks like it is in the US. With a mobile proxy the phone uses mobile data instead of Wi-Fi.
Get a new IP
On the Pool Gateway, change the session id in the username (or let the rotation interval do it) and press Check again. On a Private modem with a rotation link, the New IP button on the phone calls that link and the phone picks up the new address.
Set up many phones at once
Paste several proxies, one per line. "Phones without a proxy get one each" gives every phone its own proxy, in phone order. On the Pool Gateway, one line per phone with a different session id in each gives every phone its own session.
Automate it with the Clousd API
The same works without the dashboard: the Clousd API can add proxies and set a phone’s proxy, so a script can create the session ids and hand each phone its line.

Sticky sessions and new IPs on the pool
On the Pool Gateway the username decides which device a phone gets. Add -sid-<name> to keep the same device, and give every Clousd phone its own name. For a new IP, change the name and press Check again. To rotate on a timer instead, use -rot-auto5, -rot-auto10, -rot-auto20 or -rot-auto60 (minutes).
Sticky pins the modem, not the IP
Mobile carriers change their public addresses on their own schedule, so a pinned mobile modem can still show a different exit IP after a while. If a phone needs one modem to itself for weeks, rent a Private modem.
Frequently asked questions
Pool Gateway or Private modem for a Clousd phone?
The Pool Gateway is one login for mobile and residential exits in many countries, billed per GB: $4/GB, dropping to $2.40/GB from 250 GB, and GB never expire. Pick the country and the session in the username. A Private modem is a whole 4G/5G modem rented to you alone per day, week or month with unlimited traffic, and it comes with its own IP-change link for the Rotation link field. Choose a Private modem when one phone should own one modem for a long time.
Should I paste the endpoint as SOCKS5 or HTTP?
Either works. Clousd detects the protocol when you press Check. What matters is the port: on the Pool Gateway, 7000 is HTTP-only and 7001 is SOCKS5-only, so a socks5:// URL must point at 7001 and an http:// URL at 7000.
How do I keep the same exit on a Clousd phone?
Add -sid-<name> to the username, for example -sid-phone01-rot-sticky, and keep that name for as long as the phone should stay on the same device. Without a session id every new connection can land on a different device. On mobile carriers a sticky session pins the modem, not the IP: carriers can change the public address on their own schedule.
Why should I leave Rotation link empty on the Pool Gateway?
Because the pool has no per-device IP-change URL. The username decides which device you get: change the session id, or set a rotation interval such as -rot-auto10, and press Check again. The Rotation link field is for Private modems, which each have their own IP-change link.
Check fails with an authentication error. What is wrong?
The Pool Gateway uses a separate proxy password, not your account password. Set it once under Account in the PROXIES.SX dashboard, then paste it as the password. Also check that the username starts with psx_ and your account id, and that no space was copied at the end.
Give every Clousd phone its own exit
Mobile and residential exits on one login, sticky sessions per phone, and Private modems when a phone needs its own hardware. $4/GB dropping to $2.40/GB from 250 GB, and GB never expire.
