The MCC identifies the country and the MNC identifies the operator inside it. Together they appear in the IMSI of every SIM on the network and in device diagnostics; they are how a handset knows which network it is on.
About Mobilis
The registry records two ASNs for Mobilis, both registered to Telecom Algeria. AS327712 is documented as the mobile network and was announced at the last probe with 131 IPv4 prefixes against a single IPv6 prefix, so IPv6 deployment on the mobile side is thin. AS36947 is the parent Algérie Télécom fixed network, announced with 545 IPv4 prefixes and 89 IPv6 prefixes, and PeeringDB names it Algeria Telecom and classes it as an NSP. For AS327712 the registry holds the name Telecom Algeria and no network type.
An address whose origin ASN is AS327712 is routed by the Mobilis mobile network. AS36947 is the parent Algérie Télécom fixed/eyeball network (prefixes 'Residentiel', 'FAWRI', 'FTTX', 'PPPOE', also '4G LTE' fixed wireless) - listed as fixed, not the Mobilis mobile network. MNC 603-07 and 603-09 belong to Algérie Télécom fixed wireless (CDMA WLL / LTE FWA), not Mobilis, and were left out. 4G launched 1 Oct 2016 (Wikipedia); 5G licence granted Nov/Dec 2025 (Xinhua, 4 Dec 2025); the operator site exposes a 5G coverage map at mobilis.dz/map/5g and a 'Navigui 4G' pack.
