Autonomous systems
Holder names and prefix counts come from the RIPE NCC's RIPEstat Data API, fetched on 2026-09-06. Role and confidence come from the evidence linked in each row; "confirmed" means a PeeringDB or RIPEstat record, or the operator's own site, names the operator.

Mobile network codes
The MCC identifies the country and the MNC identifies the operator inside it. Together they appear in the IMSI of every SIM on the network and in device diagnostics; they are how a handset knows which network it is on.
About Drei
The registry records four ASNs held by Hutchison Drei Austria GmbH. AS8437 and AS25255 are documented as carrying the mobile network: at the last probe AS8437 announced 81 IPv4 prefixes against 43 IPv6 prefixes, and AS25255 announced 47 IPv4 prefixes against 5 IPv6 prefixes. AS12635 announced two IPv6 prefixes and no IPv4. AS15554 announced nothing. PeeringDB names AS25255 as Drei Austria and AS12635 as ONE GmbH, and types both as Cable/DSL/ISP.
An address whose origin ASN is AS8437 or AS25255 is routed by Drei, and the registry documents mobile customer ranges on both, so mobile is likely without being certain for any single address. AS12635 came to Drei with the former One network and its role is not documented, so an address there could be mobile, fixed or enterprise; the ASN alone does not settle it. AS15554 announced no prefixes, so no live address should originate from it.
Research note. Legal entity Hutchison Drei Austria GmbH; drei.at/de/ueber-uns/unternehmen/ states it is a 100% subsidiary of CK Hutchison Holdings Limited (Hong Kong). All four ASNs resolve to RIPE org ORG-CAGf1-RIPE = Hutchison Drei Austria GmbH. AS25255 (H3G-Austria-AS): PeeringDB name 'Drei Austria', aka 'Hutchison Drei Austria', website drei.at, 47 IPv4 prefixes, most labelled H3G-CUSTOMERS-NET in RIPE inetnum (mobile customer pools). AS8437 (UTA-AS, RIPE remarks 'Hutchison Backbone'): 81 IPv4 prefixes, also largely H3G-CUSTOMERS-NET, so it carries mobile customer space too; UTA was historically a fixed-line ISP absorbed by Drei. AS12635: PeeringDB name 'ONE GmbH' website one.at (former One/Orange Austria, acquired by Drei), currently announces only 2 IPv6 prefixes; role not determinable. AS15554: not announced. Candidates 3190 (3-S-IT Dienstleistungen) and 28960 (3 Banken IT) are unrelated keyword matches. MNC: RTR list assigns 232-05/10/14/16/19 to Hutchison Drei Austria GmbH (232-19 formerly Tele2 Telecommunication GmbH per ITU 2018 list); 232-06 (former Orange Austria) is absent from the RTR list and was dropped. Generations: drei.at 5G page states the 5G network covers over 95% of households and 4G has been in operation since 2015.
Checking whether an IP belongs to Drei
Look up the origin ASN of the address and compare it with the table above. RIPEstat answers for any address, and the RADB whois mirror lists the routes registered under an ASN.

What is Drei's ASN?
Hutchison Drei Austria GmbH holds four confirmed ASNs: AS8437, AS25255, AS12635 and AS15554. The first two carry the mobile network and announce most of the operator's address space. AS12635 announces only IPv6, and AS15554 announced no prefixes at the last probe.
What is the MCC/MNC of Drei?
The registry records five MCC/MNC pairs for Hutchison Drei Austria GmbH under Austria's mobile country code 232: 232-05, 232-10, 232-14, 232-16 and 232-19. The 232-19 code was previously assigned to Tele2 Telecommunication GmbH.
Is an IP from AS25255 a mobile IP?
Often, but not always. AS25255 is documented as carrying Drei's mobile customer pools, so an address there belongs to the operator's network. PeeringDB types the ASN as Cable/DSL/ISP, so the number by itself does not prove any one address is on a handset connection.
