Teletalk ASN, MCC/MNC and IP prefixes

Teletalk is the state-owned mobile network operator in Bangladesh, with all of its shares held by the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology. The registry documents AS45925, registered to Teletalk Bangladesh Ltd., as the ASN carrying its mobile network, and records the MCC/MNC pair 470-04. Teletalk runs 4G LTE.

The registry records one ASN for Teletalk, AS45925, and documents it as the mobile network. RIPEstat shows it announced, with 14 IPv4 prefixes and no IPv6 prefixes at the last probe, the smallest IPv4 count among the Bangladeshi operators recorded here. PeeringDB lists the network as Teletalk Bangladesh with the operator's own website and files it under the network type Cable/DSL/ISP, a classification for an access provider rather than a mobile-only network.

An address whose origin ASN is AS45925 is routed by Teletalk. The registry documents that ASN as the mobile network, so handset traffic originates there, but the PeeringDB type points at fixed access on the same number, so an address from it could be mobile, fixed or enterprise and the ASN alone does not settle which. With no IPv6 prefixes announced at the last probe, any Teletalk address visible in routing data is IPv4.
