About Tele2 Lithuania

Tele2 Lithuania is the Lithuanian mobile operator of Sweden's Tele2 AB. The registry records no Lithuanian-registered ASN for it; AS1257, the Tele2 group's pan-European backbone, originates its Lithuanian mobile ranges and carries other Tele2 markets as well. Its mobile codes are MCC 246 and MNC 03.

The registry records a single ASN for Tele2 Lithuania, AS1257, held by Tele2 Sverige AB under the SWIPNET name and described in RIPE as the Tele2 group's pan-European IP backbone. It announced 387 IPv4 prefixes and 38 IPv6 prefixes at the last probe. PeeringDB lists the network as TELE2 with tele2.com as its website. A search of the RIPE database returns no aut-num registered to Tele2 in Lithuania, so no country-specific ASN exists to record.

Lithuanian mobile ranges sit inside AS1257 as RIPE inetnums with netnames such as LT-TELE2-GPRS and LT-TELE2-LTE and the description Mobile Services Lithuania, among them 213.103.0.0/17 and 37.0.128.0/19. An address originated by AS1257 is routed by Tele2, but the ASN spans several national markets and both mobile and fixed traffic, so it does not by itself place an address in Lithuania or on a mobile network. The inetnum netname is what separates the Lithuanian mobile blocks from the rest.

None of the supplied ASN candidates (15419/44771 LRTC, 35135 Bank of Lithuania, 35500 Western Union, 58146/62282/201201 Delska) belong to Tele2 - all rejected as keyword matches on 'Lithuania'. AS1257 is therefore the ASN carrying Tele2's Lithuanian consumer mobile traffic, shared with other Tele2 markets. Parent: tele2.com lists Lithuania as a Tele2 group market (site tele2.lt); Wikipedia states Tele2, UAB is owned by Swedish Tele2. Wikipedia MNC table lists 246-03 Tele2 / UAB Tele2 (Tele2 AB, Sweden), operational, LTE 700-2600 and 5G 700/3500. Generations: tele2.lt/rysio-zemelapis is a '4G ir 5G' coverage map. No Lithuania-specific ASN exists to report separately.

What is Tele2 Lithuania's ASN?
Tele2 Lithuania has no ASN registered in Lithuania. AS1257, the SWIPNET backbone of Tele2 Sverige AB, originates its mobile prefixes, and the registry records that ASN as the one carrying Tele2's Lithuanian mobile traffic alongside other markets in the group.
