About Orange Spain

Orange Spain is the Spanish operator that trades as Orange under the MasOrange group, itself part of Orange S.A. The registry records six ASNs registered to Orange Espagne SA, of which AS12479, UNI2-AS, is the announced one recorded as carrying the mobile network. Its MCC/MNC codes are 214-03 and 214-09.

The registry lists six ASNs registered to Orange Espagne SA. AS12479, UNI2-AS, is the only one RIPEstat shows as announced, and it is the one recorded as carrying mobile traffic, with 7,021 IPv4 prefixes against 1,536 IPv6 prefixes at the last probe. PeeringDB names it Orange Spain and files no network type against it. AS12715, the Jazztel registration, and AS20838, the Ya.com registration, are recorded as fixed. AS12386, AS20921 and AS24654 have no documented role. None of those five announces prefixes or has a PeeringDB record.

An address whose origin ASN is AS12479 is routed by Orange Espagne. That is the operator's only announced ASN in the registry, so it carries whatever Orange Spain traffic can be attributed by origin AS, and no operator document separates mobile customers from fixed ones on it. An address there could be mobile, fixed or enterprise. The other five registrations announced nothing at the last probe, so traffic is unlikely to trace back to them. The origin ASN alone does not settle whether a connection is mobile.

Orange Spain merged with MásMóvil on 26 March 2024 into the 50:50 JV MasOrange (Orange newsroom); masorange.es/marcas lists Orange among MasOrange's brands; the European Commission cleared Orange S.A.'s acquisition of 100% of MasOrange in April 2026 and Orange completed the buy-out of Lorca's 50% in June 2026 (rcrwireless, bebeez). AS12479 UNI2-AS is the only announced Orange Espagne AS per RIPEstat; PeeringDB names it 'Orange Spain', aka 'Orange Espagne', website orange.es. No operator page splits mobile from fixed traffic, so the 'mobile' role is inferred from it being the sole active Orange Espagne AS. AS12715 (Jazztel), AS20838 (Ya.com), AS12386, AS20921 (Amena legacy mobile brand) and AS24654 are registered to Orange Espagne SA but not announced per RIPEstat. What is Orange Spain's ASN?
AS12479, UNI2-AS, registered to Orange Espagne SA. It is the only Orange Espagne ASN the registry shows as announced, and PeeringDB lists it as Orange Spain. Five further ASNs are registered to the company, among them AS12715 for Jazztel and AS20838 for Ya.com, but none of them announces prefixes.
