Salt is a mobile network operator in Switzerland, owned through holding entities by NJJ, the private holding venture of Xavier Niel, via Matterhorn Telecom Holding S.A. Its mobile network is carried by AS15796, registered to Salt Mobile SA. The registry records one MCC/MNC pair for Salt, 228-03.

The registry records one ASN for Salt, AS15796, held by Salt Mobile SA and documented as the mobile network. At the last probe the ASN was announced and originated 2 IPv4 prefixes against 1 IPv6 prefix, a small routed footprint by prefix count. PeeringDB names the network SALT MOBILE and files it under Cable/DSL/ISP. RIPE holds the aut-num against organisation ORG-OCS1-RIPE, and Salt peers at SwissIX, Equinix, CIXP and DE-CIX.

An address whose origin ASN is AS15796 is routed by Salt, and the registry documents that ASN as carrying the mobile network, so a mobile connection is the expected reading.
