Adsterra Review 2026

Seven ad formats from 45K+ direct publishers, with self-serve automation and account managers

When a media buyer needs volume in a geo that the big self-serve platforms treat as an afterthought, Adsterra is one of the networks that tends to have it. Based in Limassol and running since 2013, it buys traffic from more than 45,000 direct publishers in 248 geos and sells it back to advertisers in seven formats, on whichever of CPM, CPC or CPA suits the offer.

The company describes its approach as Partner Care: alongside support, managers advise on campaign optimisation and traffic strategy, and the site keeps a blog, case studies and a free 21-lecture affiliate marketing course for anyone starting out.

Seven formats, one of them exclusive

Popunder and Social Bar carry the bulk of the volume, and Social Bar is a format nobody else sells.

Popunder

A full-page ad in a new tab after a click anywhere on the site. 12 billion impressions a month, bought on CPM or CPA.

Social Bar

The format Adsterra developed in-house: browser-friendly ads with 10 billion impressions a month and ready-made template creatives. CPM, CPC or CPA.

In-Page Push

Push-style notifications inside the page, no opt-in needed, so they run on every OS and in every browser.

Interstitial

Full-screen ads over the content, with templates tuned to the vertical. CPM or CPA.

Native and banner

Native banners styled to the site, and classic display in six standard sizes for desktop and mobile.

Smartlink

One link that monetises any traffic, including social and APK traffic, on the publisher side.

The verticals Adsterra lists on its site are games, e-commerce, sweepstakes, and VPN, utility and software, so those are the offers its publishers are used to running.

Pricing models and budgets

Every format can be bought on CPM, and most also on CPC or CPA. The minimum deposit depends on how you pay: with Paxum it starts at $100, and Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay and wire transfer are accepted too. Adsterra recommends holding at least $100 per test, and CPM and CPC campaigns need a total and daily budget of at least $25. The rate for a given format and geo is shown inside the platform, and the help centre keeps a minimum-bids page.

For publishers the model is eCPM, with clicks and conversions counted alongside impressions, and Adsterra sets no ceiling on the volume a site can send.

Automation inside the self-serve platform

The self-serve platform is built to take routine bidding off your hands. Smart CPM automates the CPM bid, CPA Goal tunes CPM and CPC traffic toward conversions, and Custom Bid pushes higher payouts to the placements that perform. More than 20 targeting settings narrow the audience, and RTB buying is available for teams that prefer to plug in their own DSP.

On the quality side, an in-house three-level security system screens the inventory for malware, ad fraud and bot traffic, and an API reports traffic performance so it can be fed into a tracker such as Binom or Keitaro.

Running campaigns across 248 geos

Traffic from 248 geos means the rest of the campaign has to work in those geos as well. Before a popunder test in Brazil or Thailand goes live, a buyer wants to see the landing page load the way a visitor there sees it, with the right language, currency and redirect chain, and after launch the same view is what a manager checks when conversions dip.

PROXIES.SX gives that view with 4G/5G mobile and residential IPs by country. Teams that run several advertiser accounts, pre-landers or tracker domains keep each one on its own stable IP so nothing gets mixed up, and because bandwidth is billed per GB with no port fees, a check from a new geo costs only the traffic it uses.

Who Adsterra suits

Affiliates and media buyers in the games, e-commerce, sweepstakes and utility verticals get the most direct use out of it: high pop and Social Bar volume, three pricing models to match the offer, and automation that keeps the bid moving without daily hand-tuning. Brands and agencies that want a managed start can lean on the account managers the Partner Care programme is built around.

Publishers are the other half of the same network. A site, blog or social audience can be monetised with any of the seven formats, or with a Smartlink where there is no site at all, and the referral programme adds a share of revenue from anyone you bring in.
