IXSPY Review 2026

Cross-border e-commerce product research · AliExpress, Shopify, Etsy, Shopee · EN / 中文

IXSPY is a cross-border e-commerce product-research and competitor-spy platform. It indexes AliExpress, Shopify, Etsy, Shopee and Facebook Ads data into daily-updated ranking lists, store and product search, and monitoring, delivered as a web dashboard plus four free Chrome analyzer extensions. The homepage headline is "The Best Winning Product Tool on Aliexpress/Shopify/Etsy/Shopee/Facebook Ads - Free Trial", and the product is split into five audience tracks: Shopify store owner, Etsy seller, AliExpress supplier, Shopee seller and TikTok influencer. It is a Chinese-first product with an English storefront, and that shows: the English site carries fewer modules than the Chinese one, several nav links 404, and the copy is unproofread. The research value is real, but so are the gaps - most notably that no pricing is published anywhere on the public site.

Scale counters, as printed by the vendor

These are the numbers IXSPY prints on its own homepage. We reproduce them as vendor claims, not as independently measured figures - there is no status page or published data-freshness SLA to check them against.

AliExpress suppliers
100M+

2M+

Caveat worth flagging up front: the TikTok counters cannot be verified in-product, because the homepage TikTok module link redirects to a host that returns an HTTP 500 error.

What IXSPY actually is

Strip away the marketing and IXSPY is a marketplace data indexer with a ranking front end. It crawls product and store catalogues on several cross-border marketplaces, refreshes them on a daily cycle, and exposes the result as leaderboards you can filter, search, save and track over time. That is a different job from an ad-spy tool: instead of showing you creatives your competitors are running, it shows you what is selling and who is selling it.

The ranking definitions are documented in the FAQ, which is more than many tools in this category bother with. Lists are explicitly the top 1,000 products or stores per category. "New" means a product first indexed within 60 days, or a store opened within 60 days. "Total Sales" means accumulated sales volume within 30 days. Knowing those windows matters: it tells you a "growth" entry is a 30-day signal, not a lifetime one, and that anything ranked below 1,000 in its category is simply invisible to you.

The web dashboard is paired with free Chrome extensions that overlay trend data while you browse AliExpress, Shopify, Etsy or Shopee directly. In practice that is the low-friction entry point: you install an analyzer, get used to seeing IXSPY data in context, and the dashboard becomes the deeper version of the same thing.

Capabilities worth knowing about

Ranking lists on three cycles

AliExpress total, hot, growth, new-product and new-store rankings are available by day, week and month, capped at the top 1,000 entries per category.

Full-catalogue search with filters

Product and store search across the indexed catalogue with dozens of filters, plus favourites and monitoring on signals like 7-day sales, favourites, reviews, 180-day sales and rating.

Keyword boards and rank tracking

Hot and rising keyword boards, daily keyword rank tracking, and word-cloud analysis built from review text.

Category and market research

Niche insight, category opportunity sizing, per-country rankings and holiday rankings for 618, Black Friday and 11.11.

Free Chrome analyzers

AliExpress, Shopify, Etsy and Shopee Analyzer extensions overlay IXSPY trend data onto the marketplace you are already browsing.

Export and history

Data export with or without images (image files or image URLs), and one-year trend history retention.

Image search back to source

Image search to find identical AliExpress competitors and to trace products back to 1688 suppliers.

Data Cooperation tier

A custom enterprise data programme: multi-platform coverage in free combination, daily full updates, custom deployment and project support, quoted individually via an enquiry form.

The Chrome extensions, checked directly

Install bases and ratings taken from the Chrome Web Store listings at time of writing. They are a useful independent signal, and they are modest for a platform claiming a 100M+ product index.

Listing no longer resolves · Store page did not load at time of writing

Read that honestly: 20,000, 7,000 and 6,000 users on 18, 5 and 12 ratings respectively, scoring 3.0 to 4.1 stars. That is a small and mixed review sample, not a groundswell. The AliExpress Analyzer does carry a Featured badge and a verified ixspy.com publisher, which at least confirms the extensions genuinely belong to this vendor.

Plans, billing and the missing price list

There is no public pricing. The "Pricing" link in the nav returns a 404, and the FAQ points to an upgrade page that sits behind a login. You cannot compare cost before creating an account. That is the single biggest practical friction with IXSPY.

What is public: plan names only. The FAQ names eBay Seller, AliExpress Supplier, Shopify Owner, E-commerce Master and Business; the app config additionally exposes Basic, Business, Enterprise and Pro team variants. The FAQ says plans can be stacked, but once you buy a personal plan you cannot stack a team plan until it expires.

Billing: a billing month is 30 days. Payment is by PayPal (auto-renewing subscription) or Alipay (manual re-purchase after expiry). The FAQ states fees are not refundable after purchase, and that cancellation is done through PayPal rather than inside the dashboard.

Free trial: a trial is offered on registration. An in-app banner advertises how to win up to two months free - one month of the Enterprise plan on registration, plus one further month for joining their improvement programme via WhatsApp. The four Chrome analyzer extensions are free regardless.

Custom deployments under the Data Cooperation programme are quoted individually through a Company / Phone / Email enquiry form, following a four-step flow: requirement intake, evaluation and quotation, development and testing, then after-sales guidance.

Who it is for

Good fit: dropshippers and cross-border sellers who work primarily on AliExpress and want a structured way to see what is climbing rather than trawling category pages by hand. The AliExpress module is clearly the mature one - rankings on three cycles, country and holiday cuts, keyword boards, niche insight and image search back to 1688 sources. Etsy and Shopify sellers get a lighter but real version of the same thing, and the Facebook posts and Facebook Ads (beta) modules add creative context on the Shopify side.

Also a fit: teams that need bulk marketplace data rather than a dashboard. The Data Cooperation tier sells multi-platform coverage in free combination with daily full updates and custom deployment, which is a different product from the self-serve plans.

Poor fit: anyone who needs to budget before signing up, anyone who needs a Terms of Service, an SLA or a documented API to get procurement approval, and anyone buying primarily for the TikTok influencer or Amazon angle - both are advertised in places but neither is verifiable from the public site (see limitations below).

Honest limitations

These are the things we would want to know before paying. None of them are dealbreakers on their own; together they define what kind of vendor this is.

No public pricing

The Pricing nav link 404s and the real plan table lives behind a login at the in-app upgrade page. You cannot compare cost before signing up.

No About page, no company entity, no Terms of Service

The "About US" nav link also 404s. There is no team page and no company named anywhere on the English site. The operating company - 福州市洞察力网络科技有限公司 (Fuzhou Insight Network Technology Co., Ltd.) - appears only inside one Chinese-language blog post from July 2023, with no registration number or address. No Terms of Service page exists at all; only a Privacy Policy, last updated December 2019.

The TikTok module is broken

The homepage TikTok "LEARN MORE" goes to tiktokspy.com, which redirects to tik.ixspy.com and returns HTTP 500. The advertised 1B+ videos and 2.5M+ influencers cannot be verified in-product.

Two Shopee entry points are dead

The linked Shopee landing page returns a 404, and the Shopee Analyzer Chrome Web Store listing no longer resolves to a live extension page - despite Shopee being one of the five platforms in the headline.

Amazon is not a public data source

The "AMZ" nav item sends visitors to a third-party product, Tool4seller. Amazon fields do exist in the logged-in app language pack (Amazon Products, Amazon Site, Amazon self-operated, Fulfilled by Amazon, with a us/uk/de/fr/es/br/jp country list), but you cannot verify any Amazon coverage before registering.

Modest extension install base

20,000 / 7,000 / 6,000 users with only 18, 5 and 12 ratings, scoring 3.0 to 4.1 stars. A small and mixed sample for a data platform of this claimed scale.

No refunds, and cancellation happens on PayPal

The FAQ is explicit that the fee is not refundable after purchase, and PayPal subscriptions must be cancelled on PayPal rather than in the dashboard. Alipay buyers simply re-purchase manually after expiry.

Stale content and policies

The English blog stops in 2021, the only newer post is a Chinese one from 2023, and the privacy policy still dates to 2019 (it references Shopify Inc. as a data source).

No API docs, no status page, no SLA

"Updated daily" is a marketing claim with nothing published behind it - no data-freshness commitment, no uptime figure, no public API documentation.

Unproofread English

Typos are visible in production copy ("Suppiler", "Influcecers", "United Kiongdom", and the homepage positioning line reads "Products, Sellers, Influcecers All In One"). The English storefront is a secondary translation of a Chinese-first product.

Languages and support channels

EN / 中文, with the Chinese side richer

Every page has an English and Chinese toggle, but the Chinese storefront carries extra nav modules the English one lacks - AI image generation (AI 作图), an AliExpress shipping-template assistant and an Amazon operations tool - and offers WeChat and WeChat-QR login alongside Google and email. Help, FAQ and privacy pages are English-only; the newest blog post is Chinese-only.

How you reach them

Email ixspyforetsy@gmail.com (given in the privacy policy), WhatsApp (+852) 9884 4742, a Discord invite, a Facebook page, a YouTube channel, and the Data Cooperation enquiry form. There is no postal address, no support phone line and no ticket system published.

Using IXSPY with PROXIES.SX mobile proxies

Be clear about what a proxy does and does not do here. IXSPY's own dashboard does not need a proxy - it is a logged-in web app serving data it has already crawled, and you should simply use it as intended. Where mobile IPs matter is in the work either side of the research.

1. Verifying what the rankings tell you. IXSPY ships per-country rankings and country-specific views, and its SKU data covers regional pricing and logistics. Marketplace storefronts personalise heavily by IP: the price, shipping estimate, stock message and even the product mix a US visitor sees on AliExpress or Shopee differs from what a German or Brazilian visitor sees. If you want to confirm an IXSPY country ranking against the live storefront, you need to be in that country from the network's point of view. A proxies.sx 4G/5G mobile or residential exit in the target market gives you that, and a carrier IP looks like an ordinary shopper rather than a datacenter range.

2. Browsing marketplaces with the analyzer extensions on. The Chrome analyzers work by having you browse the real marketplace with the overlay active. Sustained category browsing from one IP is exactly the pattern marketplaces rate-limit and challenge. Routing that browsing through rotating mobile IPs keeps sessions clean, and pairing each browser profile with its own exit keeps research contexts separate.

3. Your own collection alongside their index. IXSPY caps its lists at the top 1,000 per category and publishes no API. If you need what sits below that cut, or fields it does not expose, you will be running your own collection - and that is a straightforward proxy workload.

For that, proxies.sx is $4/GB dropping to $2.40/GB at volume, GB never expire, and endpoints are free - so spinning up a separate endpoint per market or per browser profile costs nothing extra. Always respect the terms of any marketplace you access.

Verdict

3.5 / 5

IXSPY's strength is breadth with a genuinely deep core. The AliExpress module - total, hot, growth, new-product and new-store rankings on day, week and month cycles, country and holiday cuts, keyword hot and rising boards, niche insight, image search back to 1688 - is a real research workbench, and the FAQ documents its own definitions (top 1,000 per category, 60-day "new" window, 30-day sales window) instead of hand-waving. Etsy, Shopify with Facebook Ads (beta), and Shopee widen the coverage, and the free Chrome analyzers are a low-friction way to try it. The trade-offs are structural, not cosmetic: no published pricing at all, no About page, no company entity and no Terms of Service, a broken TikTok module and dead Shopee entry points, an Amazon claim you cannot verify before registering, no refunds by policy, and no API docs, status page or SLA behind the "updated daily" promise. Treat it as a useful AliExpress-first research tool from a Chinese-first vendor with thin public governance - take the free trial and the free extensions first, and confirm the plan price in-app before committing.
