GenRouter Review 2026
A router that gives every connected phone, BoxPhone or computer its own proxy or VPN
GenRouter moves proxy configuration off the device and onto the router. You import a proxy list once, assign an HTTP, SOCKS5, PPPoE or VPN route to each device or group, and the phones and computers simply join the right Wi-Fi network. It is built by the team behind the GenLogin antidetect browser for operators who run many devices at once.
The router manages routes only: proxies are bought separately. Hardware prices are published on genrouter.com.
What the router does
Four parts of the product, as GenRouter describes them in its documentation and partner materials.
A proxy per device, set at the router
In the router dashboard each connected phone, BoxPhone or computer gets its own HTTP, SOCKS5, PPPoE or VPN route, entered by hand or picked from the imported list. The device itself needs no proxy app: it joins the Wi-Fi and leaves through the route the router holds for it.
Bulk import and replacement
The Proxy Manager takes a pasted list, one proxy per line in the format you select, so a fleet is loaded in one step. When a batch expires or a market changes, the list is replaced from the same dashboard instead of touching every device.
Wi-Fi networks per project or market
GenRouter splits its Wi-Fi into separate networks, so one group of devices can sit on US routes while another works a different market, and a device moves between them by joining a different network.
Leak protection and the GenLogin ecosystem
DNS and WebRTC leak protection sits on the router, with MAC and SSID masking in the vendor description. GenRouter is made by the team behind the GenLogin antidetect browser, and the two are sold as one ecosystem for multi-account work.
GenRouter devices on PROXIES.SX exits
One PROXIES.SX pool credential serves the whole fleet. Build the import list with the same account id and password on every line and a different sticky session id per device, so each device keeps its own residential or mobile exit, and pick the country in the username. The session id must not contain a hyphen.
Host gw.proxies.sx Port 7000 (HTTP) or 7001 (SOCKS5) Username psx_ACCOUNT_ID-peer-us-rot-sticky-sid-DEVICE01 Password PROXY_PASSWORD # next device: same host, port and password, a new session id Username psx_ACCOUNT_ID-peer-us-rot-sticky-sid-DEVICE02
Paste the lines in the format GenRouter's Proxy Manager expects, then open Devices, click Update proxy on each device, choose HTTP or SOCKS5 and select its entry from the list. Swap peer-us for mbl-us when a device must sit on a carrier modem. The exit is chosen by the PROXIES.SX username, not by the router.
PROXIES.SX sells residential and mobile proxies per GB through gw.proxies.sx (HTTP on port 7000, SOCKS5 on 7001), from $4/GB down to $2.40/GB from 250 GB. For a device that must keep one IP for weeks, Private modems rent a whole 4G/5G modem by the day, week or month, and the router takes that port like any other proxy.
Frequently asked questions
What is GenRouter?
GenRouter is a hardware router for teams running many devices. Instead of configuring a proxy on every phone or computer, you assign an HTTP, SOCKS5, PPPoE or VPN route to each device or group in the router dashboard, and the devices simply join the right Wi-Fi network. It comes from the makers of the GenLogin antidetect browser.
How do I add proxies to GenRouter?
Open the router management page, go to Proxy Manager and click Add proxy. Select the proxy format, paste your list with one proxy per line and confirm. Then open Devices in the dashboard, click Update proxy on a device, choose HTTP or SOCKS5 and either enter the details by hand or select an entry from the imported list, as described in the GenRouter documentation.
Does GenRouter include proxies?
No. The router manages the network routes; proxies and VPNs are bought separately, so each device still needs a proxy credential from a provider such as PROXIES.SX. GenRouter publishes its hardware prices on its own site and we do not quote them here.
How does GenRouter fit with PROXIES.SX?
Build the import list from one PROXIES.SX pool credential: the same account id and password on every line, with a different sticky session id per device, so each device keeps its own residential or mobile exit in the country you chose. For a device that must hold one IP for weeks, rent a Private modem and give the router that port instead.
