Elisa Eesti ASN, MCC/MNC and IP prefixes

Elisa Eesti is a mobile network operator in Estonia owned by Elisa Oyj. Its converged fixed and mobile network is carried by AS2586 (ELISAEE-AS Elisa Eesti AS), the operator's confirmed mobile-role ASN. The registry also records AS13272, held by Elisa Eesti AS with no documented role. Elisa Eesti operates under MCC 248, MNC 02.

The registry records two ASNs for Elisa Eesti. AS2586 is the one documented as carrying the mobile network, and at the last probe it announced 21 IPv4 prefixes against 2 IPv6 prefixes, so nearly all of the operator's routed address space is still IPv4. PeeringDB records AS2586 under the name Elisa Eesti with the network types Cable/DSL/ISP and NSP, which fits a converged fixed and mobile operator. AS13272 (Starman Elisa Eesti AS) announced nothing at the last probe, and its RIPE database object says it is deprecated for public use, so its role is not documented.

An address whose origin ASN is AS2586 is routed by Elisa Eesti, and the registry documents that ASN as carrying the mobile network. Because AS2586 also announces the fixed side of the same network, the ASN on its own does not tell you whether an address sits on a mobile connection or a home broadband line. AS13272 announces no prefixes, so no live address should originate from it; an address attributed to it has no documented role in the registry and could be mobile, fixed or enterprise.

Research note. AS2586 (ELISAEE-AS) is the announced Elisa Eesti network (23 prefixes; PeeringDB: name 'Elisa Eesti', website elisa.ee, types Cable/DSL/ISP + NSP) carrying the converged fixed+mobile network. AS13272 (as-name 'Starman', the cable operator Elisa acquired) is held by Elisa Eesti AS per RIPEstat but announces 0 prefixes and its RIPE DB object says 'DEPRICATED FOR PUBLIC USE, IS USED INTERNALLY'; role therefore unknown. Parent: elisa.ee/et/elisast states 'Elisa omanik on ... Elisa OYJ'; elisa.com names Finland and Estonia as core markets. Generations: elisa.ee/et/5g states the 5G network covers 97% of Estonia's population and references 4G speeds; elisa.ee news states 'Elisa 4G internet katab täna üle 99 protsendi Eesti territooriumist'.
