Autonomous systems

Holder names and prefix counts come from the RIPE NCC's RIPEstat Data API, fetched on 2026-09-06. Role and confidence come from the evidence linked in each row; "confirmed" means a PeeringDB or RIPEstat record, or the operator's own site, names the operator.

Mobile network codes

The MCC identifies the country and the MNC identifies the operator inside it. Together they appear in the IMSI of every SIM on the network and in device diagnostics; they are how a handset knows which network it is on.

About Elisa

Elisa is a mobile operator in Finland and has no parent group in the registry; it is independently listed. Seven ASNs are recorded under Elisa Oyj and its subsidiary, of which AS719 is documented as the mobile network. Elisa's MCC/MNC codes are 244-05, 244-06 and 244-21. The network runs 4G LTE and 5G.

Seven ASNs sit under Elisa in the registry. AS719 carries the mobile network and announced 157 IPv4 prefixes against 5 IPv6 prefixes at the last probe, the widest address space of the group, and PeeringDB lists it as Elisa Finland, a network service provider. AS6667 announced 3 IPv4 and 1 IPv6 prefix and appears in PeeringDB as Elisa Corporation. AS49762, held by subsidiary Elisa Santa Monica Oy, announced one IPv4 and two IPv6 prefixes. AS790, AS5487, AS12712 and AS15424 announce no prefixes.

An address whose origin ASN is AS719 is routed by Elisa's mobile network. AS6667 is announced under Elisa but its role against the consumer mobile network is not documented, so an address there could be mobile, fixed or enterprise, and the ASN alone does not settle it. AS49762 is recorded as enterprise and belongs to a subsidiary, so it points to business systems rather than subscriber handsets. AS790, AS5487, AS12712 and AS15424 announce nothing, so no live address should trace back to them.

Research note. Elisa Oyj is an independently listed company (Nasdaq Helsinki, per elisa.fi/yhtiotieto) with no parent group. AS719 is the primary announced network (PeeringDB 'Elisa Finland', NSP, ~600 IPv4 prefixes; RIPEstat announced=true). AS6667 EUNET-FINLAND is also announced (PeeringDB 'Elisa Corporation', NSP) but its role vs the consumer mobile network is not stated. AS790, AS5487, AS12712, AS15424 are registered to Elisa Oyj in RIPEstat but currently not announced; no PeeringDB records. AS49762 belongs to subsidiary Elisa Santa Monica Oy (announced) and is enterprise/IT-services, not consumer mobile. ITU E.212 (2018) assigns 244-05, 244-06, 244-21 to Elisa Oyj; the duplicate 244-05 candidate row was collapsed. Elisa's 5G page states ~98% of Finns live within Elisa 5G coverage and that devices fall back to 4G.

Check whether an IP belongs to Elisa

Look up the origin ASN of the address and compare it with the table above. RIPEstat answers for any address, and the RADB whois mirror lists the routes registered under an ASN.

Questions

What is Elisa's ASN?
Elisa's mobile network is AS719, registered as ELISA-AS to Elisa Oyj. Two further ASNs under the company are announced, AS6667 and AS49762, and four more, AS790, AS5487, AS12712 and AS15424, are registered to Elisa Oyj without announcing prefixes.
What is the MCC/MNC of Elisa?
ITU records three MCC/MNC pairs for Elisa in Finland, 244-05, 244-06 and 244-21. Country code 244 covers Finland, and the network codes identify Elisa's own networks. The registry lists no other codes for the operator.
Does Elisa have a parent company?
The registry records no parent group for Elisa. Elisa Oyj is an independently listed company on Nasdaq Helsinki, and the ASNs in this entry are registered in its own name apart from AS49762, which belongs to its subsidiary Elisa Santa Monica Oy.

Where Elisa meets other networks

PeeringDB records Elisa as a participant at internet exchanges in 11 cities. Each city page lists the exchanges there and the other networks present.

ASN and prefix data describe how the operator's networks are registered and announced. They do not identify an individual subscriber or where a device is, since carriers route traffic from many areas through shared gateways.
