Autonomous systems

Holder names and prefix counts come from the RIPE NCC's RIPEstat Data API, fetched on 2026-09-06. Role and confidence come from the evidence linked in each row; "confirmed" means a PeeringDB or RIPEstat record, or the operator's own site, names the operator.

Mobile network codes

The MCC identifies the country and the MNC identifies the operator inside it. Together they appear in the IMSI of every SIM on the network and in device diagnostics; they are how a handset knows which network it is on.

About Telia

Telia is a mobile operator in Finland and part of Telia Company. The registry records ten ASNs across Telia Finland Oyj and its Cygate subsidiary, of which AS1759 is documented as the mobile network. Telia's Finnish MCC/MNC codes are 244-36, 244-91 and 244-92. The network runs 4G LTE and 5G.

Ten ASNs sit under Telia in Finland. AS1759 carries the core and mobile network and announced 117 IPv4 prefixes against 12 IPv6 prefixes at the last probe, more than any other ASN in the entry, and PeeringDB lists it as Telia Finland, a network service provider. Three Cygate ASNs are announced, AS29422 with 15 IPv4 and 2 IPv6 prefixes, AS51188 with 7 IPv4 and 2 IPv6, and AS200711 with one IPv4 prefix. PeeringDB records AS29422 as Nebula Oy and AS12582 as Telia Finland MPLS VPN Services. The other ASNs announce nothing.

An address whose origin ASN is AS1759 is routed by Telia Finland, and that is the ASN to check for its mobile subscribers. The Cygate ASNs belong to Telia's IT-services arm, so announced addresses there are hosting and managed-service space rather than handsets. AS5515 is a legacy DataNet ASN with no documented role, so an address routed by it could be mobile, fixed or enterprise and the ASN alone would not settle it, though it announces no prefixes. Six of the ten ASNs announce nothing at all, so they should not originate live traffic.

Research note. AS1759 is the announced core network (PeeringDB 'Telia Finland', NSP, website telia.fi; RIPEstat announced=true) and is the ASN to use for the consumer/mobile network. AS12582 is PeeringDB 'Telia Finland (MPLS VPN Services)' - enterprise, not announced. AS5515 is the legacy DataNet ASN, not announced. All 'Telia Cygate Oy' ASNs belong to Telia's IT-services subsidiary Cygate (hosting/managed services), not the mobile network; AS29422's PeeringDB record is 'Nebula Oy' (inmicsnebula.fi). Of the Cygate ASNs only 29422, 51188 and 200711 are announced; 3274, 13276, 33935, 34484 are unannounced. ITU E.212 (2018) lists 244-36, 244-91 and 244-92 under 'TeliaSonera Finland Oyj' (the former legal name); 244-92 was not in the candidate rows but is in the same source. Parent group: telia.fi footer carries 'Copyright Telia Company' and the Wikipedia article lists Telia Finland among Telia Company subsidiaries; teliacompany.com market pages are JS-rendered and could not be read. telia.fi/5g states Telia 5G covers over 4.3 million people with 4G fallback.

Check whether an IP belongs to Telia

Look up the origin ASN of the address and compare it with the table above. RIPEstat answers for any address, and the RADB whois mirror lists the routes registered under an ASN.

Questions

What is Telia Finland's ASN?
Telia's Finnish mobile and core network is AS1759, registered as TSF-IP-Core to Telia Finland Oyj. Nine further ASNs are recorded under Telia Finland Oyj and Telia Cygate Oy, but they cover enterprise and legacy networks rather than the mobile network.
What is the MCC/MNC of Telia in Finland?
ITU records 244-36, 244-91 and 244-92 for Telia in Finland, listed under the former legal name TeliaSonera Finland Oyj. Country code 244 is Finland's, and the three network codes identify Telia's Finnish networks.
Is an IP from AS29422 a mobile IP?
AS29422 is registered to Telia Cygate Oy, Telia's IT-services subsidiary, and PeeringDB records it as Nebula Oy. The registry marks it enterprise, not mobile, so an address originating there is hosting or managed-service space rather than a Telia mobile subscriber.

Where Telia meets other networks

PeeringDB records Telia as a participant at internet exchanges in 4 cities. Each city page lists the exchanges there and the other networks present.

ASN and prefix data describe how the operator's networks are registered and announced. They do not identify an individual subscriber or where a device is, since carriers route traffic from many areas through shared gateways.
