Deutsche Telekom · Germany
Deutsche Telekom is a German mobile network operator under Deutsche Telekom AG. The registry records AS3320, held by DTAG Deutsche Telekom AG, as the ASN carrying its mobile network, alongside ten further Deutsche Telekom ASNs in enterprise or undocumented roles. Its recorded MCC/MNC codes are 262 01 and 262 06.

Holder names and prefix counts come from the RIPE NCC's RIPEstat Data API, fetched on 2026-09-06. Role and confidence come from the evidence linked in each row; "confirmed" means a PeeringDB or RIPEstat record, or the operator's own site, names the operator.

Mobile network codes
The MCC identifies the country and the MNC identifies the operator inside it. Together they appear in the IMSI of every SIM on the network and in device diagnostics; they are how a handset knows which network it is on.
About Deutsche Telekom
The registry records eleven ASNs for Deutsche Telekom, and AS3320 is the only one documented as carrying mobile traffic. At the last probe AS3320 announced 915 IPv4 prefixes against 45 IPv6 prefixes, far more than anything else in the set. AS2773, held under the DTAG-IOT name, announced 47 IPv4 prefixes and 5 in IPv6, while AS2792 announced 20 IPv4 prefixes and none in IPv6. AS38914 and AS200093 each announced a small handful of IPv4 prefixes. The other six ASNs are registered to the group but were not announcing. The probe returned no PeeringDB record against any of these ASNs.
An address whose origin ASN is one of these eleven is routed by Deutsche Telekom. Where that ASN is AS3320, the registry documents the role as mobile, so the address sits on the ASN the operator uses for its mobile network. For the other ten the role is either enterprise or not documented, and an address originating there could be mobile, fixed or enterprise. The ASN alone does not settle it. The 262 01 and 262 06 codes identify the network on the radio side and do not appear in routing data, so they cannot be matched against an address.
Research note. German operating entity is Telekom Deutschland GmbH (telekom.de Impressum); AS3320 is registered to parent Deutsche Telekom AG (PeeringDB: Deutsche Telekom AG, website wholesale.telekom.com, NSP; RIPEstat: announced) and is the only Deutsche Telekom AG candidate that carries consumer traffic. BNetzA list (Stand 03.08.2026) also assigns 262 78 to Telekom Deutschland GmbH, but 262 70-79 is the BNetzA test-allocation range (imsi_np.pdf), so it is omitted. Non-DT candidates in asn.txt (DFN, DESY, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Glasfaser, Deutsche Post, WDR, NDR, ZDF, etc.) are unrelated keyword matches and were rejected. AS2778/2780/2782 (DBP), AS2775, 2776, 2777, 8204, 15996, 20936 are held by Deutsche Telekom AG but not announced per RIPEstat. telekom.de/netz/mobilfunk-netzausbau: about 92% of Germany's area covered with 5G as of April 2024.
Checking whether an IP belongs to Deutsche Telekom
Look up the origin ASN of the address and compare it with the table above. RIPEstat answers for any address, and the RADB whois mirror lists the routes registered under an ASN.
curl -s "https://stat.ripe.net/data/prefix-overview/data.json?resource=203.0.113.9" | jq '.data.asns'whois -h whois.radb.net -- '-i origin AS3320' | grep ^routeQuestions
What is Deutsche Telekom's ASN?
The registry records AS3320, held by DTAG Deutsche Telekom AG, as the ASN carrying Deutsche Telekom's mobile network. Ten further ASNs are registered to the group in enterprise or undocumented roles, among them AS2773 and AS200093, and six of the eleven were not announcing prefixes at the last probe.
What is the MCC/MNC of Deutsche Telekom?
The registry records two rows, 262 01 and 262 06, where 262 is the mobile country code for Germany. Both come from the German regulator's IMSI block allocation list, and the registry records no other network code for the operator.
Is an IP from AS3320 a mobile IP?
Not on that evidence alone. AS3320 is the Deutsche Telekom ASN the registry documents as carrying the mobile network, so an address announced from it is routed by Deutsche Telekom. The registry does not break the ASN's prefixes down by access type, so the origin ASN does not confirm a mobile connection by itself.
