About Movistar

Movistar is the consumer brand of Colombia Telecomunicaciones S.A. ESP BIC in Colombia, with Millicom as its parent group. The registry records two announced ASNs, AS3816 and AS27921, both registered to that company, and documents no mobile or fixed role for either. Recorded MCC/MNC codes are 732-123 and 732-001.

Two ASNs are on file for Movistar Colombia, both held by Colombia Telecomunicaciones S.A. ESP BIC. AS3816 carries almost all of the recorded address space and announced 1,266 IPv4 prefixes against 15 IPv6 prefixes at the last probe. AS27921 is far smaller, with two IPv4 prefixes and no IPv6 at the last probe. PeeringDB has an entry for AS3816 that gives movistar.com.co as the operator website, and no record for AS27921. The registry holds no PeeringDB network name or type value for either number.

Ownership changed in 2026: Millicom bought Telefónica's controlling stake (Feb 2026) and the remaining 32.5% from the Colombian government (27 Apr 2026); formerly a Telefónica company. PeeringDB AS3816 lists website movistar.com.co; PeeringDB has no record for AS27921. Coltel is an integrated fixed+mobile operator, so the ASN role (mobile vs fixed) could not be separated from public sources. movistar.co 301-redirects to www.movistar.com.co. Candidate 732-102 dropped: Wikipedia lists it as Bellsouth Colombia, network acquired by Movistar, MNC withdrawn. Movistar activated 5G on 2024-02-23 (Forbes); LTE bands listed for 732-123 on Wikipedia.
