Two clusters hold most of New Jersey's recorded networks. Secaucus has Equinix NY2/NY4/NY5/NY6 at 130 networks, CoreSite NY2 at 31, Centersquare EWR5 at 18 and Evocative EWR1 at 17. Newark has the 165 Halsey Meet-Me Room at 112 and Equinix NY1 at 39. Further out, QTS Piscataway counts 33 networks, Iron Mountain NJE-1 in Edison 21 and Digital Realty at 100 Delawanna in Clifton 19. NJFX in Wall lists 11. The snapshot names no internet exchange in the state, so networks here meet inside these buildings or carry traffic out to peer.

A New Jersey IP address is a registration, not a position. Databases geolocate a block from the address the operator publishes with it, and that address can name a corporate office rather than a rack. Mobile addressing is looser again. AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon route subscribers through regional gateways, so a phone in Piscataway or Clifton can present an address that databases read as another state entirely.

Check the origin ASN on the exact prefix and the netname recorded against it, rather than trusting a state field. Verizon registers seven mobile ASNs, AT&T five and T-Mobile five, which means an origin lookup identifies the carrier but not the town. New Jersey's 563 network presences count connections inside 47 buildings, and with no exchange listed in the state, that count reflects private interconnection rather than public peering fabric.
